FRONT
Front speaker distance from the
5 m/17 ft
listening position can be set in
0.2 meter (1 foot) increments from
1 to 15 meters (3 to 50 feet).
CENTER
Centre speaker distance can be
5 m/17 ft
moved up to 1.6 meters (5 feet)
forward closer to the listening
position, in 0.2 meter (1 foot)
increments.
REAR
Rear speaker distance can be moved
3.4 m/
up to 4.6 meters (15 feet) closer to
12 ft
your listening position from the
front speaker position, in 0.2 meter
(1 foot) increments.
Notes
• When you set the distance, the sound cuts off for a
moment.
• If each of the front or rear speakers are not placed
at an equal distance from your listening position,
set the distance according to the closest speaker.
• Do not place the rear speakers farther away from
your listening position than the front speakers.
xBALANCE
You can vary the balance of the left and right
speakers as follows. Be sure to set "TEST
TONE" to "ON" for easy adjustment.
The default settings are underlined.
Adjust the balance between the
FRONT
CENTRE
front left and right speakers (You
can adjust from centre 6 steps left
or right).
Adjust the balance between the rear
REAR
CENTRE
left and right speakers (You can
adjust from centre 6 steps left or
right).

xLEVEL
You can vary the level of each speaker as
follows. Be sure to set "TEST TONE" to
"ON" for easy adjustment.
The default settings are underlined.
CENTER
Adjusts the level of the centre
0 dB
speaker (–10 dB to +10 dB,
1dB increments).
REAR 0 dB
Adjusts the level of the rear
speakers (–10 dB to +10 dB,
1dB increments).
SUBWOOFER
Adjusts the level of the
0 dB
subwoofer (–10 dB to +10 dB,
1dB increments).
To adjust the volume of all the
speakers at one time
Use the VOLUME control.
xTEST TONE
The speakers will emit a test tone to adjust
"BALANCE" and "LEVEL." The default
setting is underlined.
OFF
The test tone is not emitted from the
speakers.
ON
The test tone is emitted from each
speaker in sequence while adjusting
balance or level.
When you select one of the
"SPEAKER SETUP" items, the test
tone is emitted from both left and
right speakers simultaneously.
