INSTALLING THE CARBURETOR

For installation, reverse the removal proce-
dure.
1. Install:
• carburetor assembly
NOTE:
When installing the carburetor assembly, align
the slot a in the carburetor assembly with the
projection b on the intake manifold.
2. Install:
• fuel overflow hose
• cylinder head breather hose
(from the hose holder)
• fuel hose
• throttle cable
WARNING
Proper hose and cable routing are essential
to insure safe motorcycle operation. Refer
to "CABLE ROUTING" in chapter 2.
3. Adjust:
• engine idling speed
Engine idling speed (with head-
light on)
1,400 ~ 1,600 r/min
Refer to
IDLING SPEED" in chapter 3.
4. Adjust:
• throttle cable free play
Throttle cable free play (at the
flange of the throttle grip)
3 ~ 7 mm (0.12 ~ 0.18 in)
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE
CABLE FREE PLAY" in chapter 3.

CHECKING THE FUEL COCK OPERATION

1. Place a container under the end of the fuel
hose 1.
