Description
A part used in the printer has nearly
reached the end of its life. "NNNN"
shows the code of the part.
Cleaning cannot be executed
because thick paper is loaded.
The paper is removed from the rear
manual feed slot.
Double-sided printing has been
performed, and the printer could
not feed the paper correctly.
The printer could not eject the
printout.
The paper is jammed.
The nozzles are still clogged.
The loaded paper does not match
the paper type selected for the Auto
Head Alignment.
The loaded paper does not match
the paper type selected.
The loaded paper size does not
match the data size.

What to do
Note the code and contact your dealer. See
"Contacting Customer Support" on page 201.
Remove the thick paper.
Remove the paper from the rear manual feed
slot.
Load the paper which just has been ejected,
and then press the Paper Feed/Down d
button.
Press the Paper Feed/Down d button, and
then remove the printout.
Remove the jammed paper. See "Clearing
paper jams" on page 191 for details.
Press the Cancel/Reset + button. Then, run
the Head Cleaning utility. For Windows, see
"Using the Printer Utilities" on page 21. For
Mac OS X, see "Using Printer Utilities" on page
37.
Press the Cancel/Reset + button, and then
load the paper that matches with the paper
type selected for the Auto Head Alignment.

on page 135 for details.
Press the Cancel/Reset + button, and then
load the paper that matches with the paper

Match the loaded paper size to the data size.
