CYLINDER MAINTENANCE

See Figure 3.
1. Separate press ring (19), press ring (20) and remove the piston ring (21)
from the driver unit (22).
2. Remove the cylinder spacer (25).
3. Remove o-rings (24, 26) and cylinder ring (27).
4. Clean all parts with a dry, clean cloth.
5. Remove and replace bumper (28).
6. Apply a light coat of grease to new o-rings (24, 26).
7. Install o-ring (24) onto cylinder (23) as shown in Figure 3.
8. Install o-ring (26) onto the cylinder spacer (25).
9. Install the cylinder ring (27) onto the cylinder with the ridged edge up as
shown.
10. Reassemble parts in the order shown in Figure 3. Be sure to reinstall press
ring (19) back onto press ring (20). Be sure that the press ring (20) is
positioned with the wider edge up.
11. Reinsert the driver and cylinder into the tool body. Be sure the driver
shaft is inserted in the proper direction.
12. Replace cylinder cap seal (9).
13. Reinstall the top cap and secure.
NOTE: To properly seat cap, tighten the screws at alternate corners a
few turns at a time until all screws are secure.
REPLACING THE TRIGGER VALVE ASSEMBLY
See Figures 4 - 5.
1. Push out the trigger pivot pin (45) and retainer (44); set aside.
NOTE: The retainer is a very small part. Remove it carefully.
2. Remove the trigger (43) and spring (46).
3. Push out the two spring pins (40 and 41) just far enough to remove the
trigger valve assembly. It is not necessary to completely remove the
pins.
4. Pull out the old trigger valve assembly (99 for R350CHA or 106 for
R350RHA).
5. Install the new trigger valve assembly. Be sure the grooves in the valve
assembly match up with the two holes for the spring pins, as shown in
Figure 5.
6. Reinstall the spring pins (40 and 41).
7. Reinstall the spring (46) and trigger (43).
8. Reinstall the trigger pivot pin (45) and the retainer (44).
