Setting [BI1-2_CH*]

For the relay operation, it has been described about the injection of CB/DS11/12/13/21 contacts
in the preceding section 2.1.1(iii). To inject a contact at BI1 and BI2 circuits, the contact can
be corresponded with the circuits using setting [BI1-2_CH*]. Figure 2.2-3 shows the logics and
setting for the injection.
Suppose DS12 is set for the [BI1-2_CH*], for example. Subsequently, the BI1 circuit is able to
generate DS12_NO_CONT_CH* signal, which can describe the DS12 state in 'Normally Open
contact' in the CH*. Similarly, the BI2 circuit is able to generate DS12_NC_CONT_CH* state
signal describing DS12 state in 'Normally Closed contact'. Accordingly, the busbar protection
can be determined with the both signals.
The [BI1-2_CH*] has default CB setting; hence, it is recommended to use the both circuits for
the CB contact. If the user wishes to adapt the both circuits except for these contacts, set Other
for the [BI1-2_CH*]; the circuits can handle signals for other purposes (use 'BI1-CPL' and 'BI2-
CPL' signal monitoring points for this purpose).
Setting [BI5-6_CH*]

Similarly, setting [BI5-6_CH*] can define that either CB/DS12/DS13/DS21 contacts have to be
injected at the BI5 and BI6 circuits.
The [BI5-6_CH*] has default DS12 setting. Thus, for the DS12 contact injection, it is
recommended to use BI5 and BI6 circuits when DS12 contact must be described (see Figure
2.2-3 for the logic).

Except for the above [BI1-2_CH*] and [BI5-6_CH*] settings, it is possible to customize injecting
CB/DS12/DS13/DS21 contacts by the user PLC program. Regarding setting [BI3-4_CH*]
(described later), it is also possible to customize by the user PLC program. To customize, PLC
connection points are provided.
