Refer to the table below to troubleshoot failure symptoms. If the issue persists after
you apply the suggested solution(s), consult your Honda dealer.

Possible reason(s)
SD card not plugged in.
Power cable is connected
incorrectly.
It is normal for the DVR to start up
within 15s. Button functions do not
operate before the DVR fully starts
up.
Is the smartphone compatible?
Is the latest app version installed?
When you switch display devices,
the device is occasionally not
recognised. This cannot be
completely avoided.
The DVR may suffer from an
unstable wireless connection due to
the variety of smartphones on the
market.
The output resolution of the DVR is
inconsistent with the resolution of
the display equipment.
Dust or foreign matter on the lens.
Dirt on the front windscreen.
Video recording in extreme
situations (bad weather or poor
driving conditions)
Wireless password forgotten.
The DVR has a 3-minute video
recording function after engine is
switched off.
Incorrect harness installation.
There may be strong interference
signal nearby. Is another network
with the same SSID is nearby?
The DVR was disconnected from the
power supply and did not sync
properly.

Solution(s)
Unplug and plug in SD card again. Restart the engine.
Check if harness is installed correctly.
Operate the DVR after it has fully started up.
Wireless function needs to be activated manually.
Check on another smartphone to see if the problem
persists. If yes, consult your Honda dealer.
Reconnect the HDMI connector for confirmation.
Replace other display equipment for confirmation.
Remove unnecessary software from your phone,
clear the cache memory or increase storage
capacity.
Use the smartphone app to change to a compatible
resolution.
Clean the lens and front windscreen with a clean
cotton cloth.
Confirm the image quality when the vehicle is in
normal driving conditions.
Perform a factory reset by following the
instructions on page 11 (note 2).
Wait for 3 minutes to see if the DVR powers down
automatically. If not resolved, reinsert the memory
card and check the harness installation.
Try to move the vehicle to another location.
Modify the SSID (see page 16).
Turn off Bluetooth and wireless connections other
than the DVR network.
Sync time with your smartphone by following the
instructions on page 11 (note 3) .
Make sure the harness is installed correctly.
