A - IMPORTANT REMARKS
A1. These instructions must be conveyed to all users of the SÖLL TOTEM
DURAHOIST POST MILLER anchorage system before they begin to use this
device. It is essential, for user safety, for the instructions to be provided in
the language of the country of use. Non-compliance with the instructions
described in this manual could have serious consequences. The user must
have received proper training and be experienced in using this equipment or
any other equipment related to it. We advise you to reread these instructions
periodically.
A2. The owner of the anchorage device must make sure that these instructions
remain easily accessible and are located in a safe place at the installation
location.
A3. The operator must be able to produce these instructions on the manufacturer's
request (HONEYWELL FALL PROTECTION) or to one of its approved sellers.
A4. Before connecting PPE (EN 360 or EN 355) to the ''SÖLL TOTEM DURAHOIST
POST MILLER'', it is essential to comply with the specific recommendations
for each piece of equipment as defined in the instructions provided by the
manufacturer.
A5. Each time it is used, it is necessary to have a rescue plan in place.
A6. The SÖLL TOTEM DURAHOIST POST MILLER anchorage device cannot be
used for any purpose other than for which it has been designed. For example,
it must not be used as lifting equipment or as support for loads.
A7. The SÖLL TOTEM DURAHOIST POST MILLER anchorage device must not be
exposed to chemicals or to any hazardous substances.
A8. The Site Director or equivalent of the installation company must complete the
Control List (Section E), clearly and properly, using permanent ink.
A9. Depending on the conditions of use, the anchorage device must be inspected
at least once a year by a competent person.
A10.
Only safety gear compliant with standard EN 361 may be used with the fall
arrest system.
B - INSTALLATION
B1. Important!
Prior to installation, it is the responsibility of the Project Manager, Technical
Research Department or the Company that carries out the installation to ensure
that the structure onto which the collar is mounted is able to hold the SÖLL
TOTEM DURAHOIST POST MILLER.
The support must withstand the forces transmitted by the device.
This must be confirmed in writing by a qualified engineer.
The maximum force to occur shall be = 13 kN at the summit of the station, 1.4m
high, with an angle of 90° in each direction.
