Checking the clamp bracket anode
1. Check:
• Anode
Eroded (1/2 or more) Replace.
There is grease, oil, or scales. Clean.
Do not apply grease, oil, or paint to the an-
ode.
Installing the clamp bracket
1. Install:
• Anode
• Tilt support shaft bushing
• Tilt support shaft
• Tilt support knob
• Pin
• Trim sensor (PTT model)
• Swivel bracket bushing
• Clamp bracket (PORT)
• Through tube
• Swivel bracket
• Trim sensor cam (PTT model)
• Clamp bracket (STBD)
• Self-locking nut
• Stopper
• Ground lead
• Clamp (PTT model)
• Grease nipple
• Holder (PTT model)
Self-locking nut
22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lb·ft)
Grease nipple
3.0 N·m (0.30 kgf·m, 2.2 lb·ft)
TIP:
Secure the trim sensor lead "1" using the
clamp "2" and holder "3".

b. Loosen the trim sensor cam screw "1".

sor cam in direction "b".
