CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Be sure to unplug from the electrical supply source before cleaning appliance or
changing the filter.
Do not use liquids to clean the air purifier.
Do not attempt to disassemble the air purifier for cleaning.
Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure the particle
sensor does not become clogged with dust.
If necessary, wipe only the exterior housing with a damp cloth, then immediately
dry it.
The Air Purifier is equipped with four different filters:
1.
Pre-filter (washable)
2.
Electrostatic Precipitator Filter (washable)
3.
Ozone Removal Filter (non-washable)
4.
HEPA/Activated carbon filter (non-washable)
Cleaning the Pre-Filter
Use vacuum cleaner to remove dust. Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse
thoroughly and dry completely before installing back into unit.
Cleaning the Electrostatic Precipitation Filter
Spray with non-abrasive detergent. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Submerge in warm
water. Shake well, remove from water. Continue to repeat until clean. Rinse
thoroughly and dry completely before installing back into unit.
Cleaning the Air Inlet and Outlet Grill
Use soft brush to move dust and debris.
Cleaning Voc Sensor Opening (volatile organic compounds)
The VOC sensor is located on the side of the air purifier
Use a soft cloth to clean dust and debris around sensor opening.
Cleaning Dust Sensor
Open the sensor cover. Use a wet swab to clean the lens and air intakes and outlets.
Use a dry cotton swab to remove water stains. The dust sensor should be cleaned
every two months for maximum efficiency. Do not use a swab on any other area than
the dust sensor.
