CAUTION

6.10 Using a 4-port KVM Switch

The Console Drawer display parameters are the same regardless of video source, so the
image position may shift around due to the different video settings in various servers.
Generally, the resolution and refresh rate (vertical frequency) are the same for many servers,
therefore one set of parameters, which support those server CRT controllers, are stored in
the Console Drawer screen. If you change the Console Drawer display parameters to match
the video output of one server, the video from all or some of the other servers may be
negatively effected.
To correct for multiple display issues, try the following:
1. Change the refresh rate of servers that do not display correctly to a different value.
2. Select the best compromise screen display and save the values.
As multiple refresh rates for each resolution can usually be set, you can use various
combinations for each of the servers to achieve optimum results.
