OVERHAUL KIT

Tools needed (but not included): 2.5 mm punch, 1.5 mm punch or 18GA
brad, flat head screwdrivers and 4 mm hex key.
REMOVING AND REPLACING O-RINGS AND SEALS
See Figures 1 - 3.
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply and remove any fasteners that
remain in the tool.
2. Using a 4 mm hex key, remove the four screws (5) from the cap (8)
and the two brackets (6). Set aside.
3. Remove the cylinder cap seal (15).
4. Remove the press ring (16) from the top of the cylinder (19). Set
aside.
5. With two flat head screwdrivers, gently pry the cylinder (19) from the
tool body as shown in Figure 1.
6. Remove the driver unit (18) from the cylinder (19) and set aside.
7. Remove the muffler cap (2) using a 4 mm hex key. Set muffler
assembly (1-4) aside.
8. Using a 1/8-in. punch, gently push the head valve assembly (9-14)
out of the cap (8) through the holes in the top of the cap.
9. Remove seal (9) and collar (14) from head valve (12).
10. Remove o-rings (11, 13) from head valve (12).
11. Clean all parts with a dry, clean cloth.
12. Apply a light coat of grease to new o-rings (11, 13) and install onto
head valve (12).
13. Install the new seal (9) and new collar (14) onto the head valve (12).
14. Set compression spring (10) into the cap (8).
15. Push head valve assembly (9-14) back into cap (8); apply sufficient
pressure to insure the seal (9) snaps into position.
16. Install muffler assembly (1-4) into top cap (8). Set aside and proceed
with cylinder maintenance.
