Turning the Power On/Off

Turning the Power On

Press the ON/OFF button until the
upper indicator next to the
viewfinder lights green.
Shooting Mode
Current shooting settings will appear in the
LCD monitor.
Current shooting settings will disappear
in about 6 seconds when the LCD
monitor is set to Standard (No
information) or No Display(p. 26).
If you turn the mode switch to

Playback Mode
The LCD monitor displays an image.
Turning the Power Off
Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the
power off.

start-up sound and image
If the "Card locked!" message appears
right after the power is turned on, the SD
card cannot record (p. 15).
You will hear a start-up sound and see the
start-up image when the power comes on.

see below and p. 71 and 106.)
The start-up image does not appear
when the LCD monitor is off in Shooting
mode or the A/V OUT terminal is
connected to a TV.
Press and hold the SET button, then
turn on the power.
