3. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the rubber gasket
on the replacement filter
4. Install the replacement oil filter to the filter
adapter, turn the oil filter clockwise until the
rubber gasket contacts the filter adapter, then
tighten the filter an additional 2/3 to 1 turn
(Figure 34).

5. Remove the oil-fill cap

6. Run the engine for about 3 minutes, shut off the
engine, and check for oil leaks around the oil
filter.
7. Check the engine oil level and add the specified
oil if needed.

Platinum 3071 or equivalent
Air gap: 0.76 mm (0.030 inch)
