Adjusting the Unit's Parallelism and
Cutting Height
When a new cutting unit is attached, you
need to adjust the parallelism and cutting
height.
Starting position:
1.
Check the air pressure in the tyres
60 kPa/0.6 bar/9 PSI.
2.
The cutting unit shall be lowered onto a
flat surface.
3.
The height adjustment lever shall be set
to the lowest cutting height.
Parallelism
Always start by adjusting the parallelism.
The cutting unit should have a slight slant,
with the rear edge 2–4 mm (1/8") higher than
the front edge.

Check the air pressure in the tyres

Remove the front cover and the right-
hand wing cover.
3.
Loosen the parallelism stay's nuts.
4.
Screw out (extend) the strut to raise the
rear edge of the cover. Screw in
(shorten) the strut to lower the rear edge
of the cover.
5.
Tighten the nuts after adjustment.
6.
The parallelism of the cutting unit should
be checked again after the adjustment
has been made.
7.
Attach the front cover and the right-hand
wing cover.
