Connecting Using the USB Port

IMPORTANT: Before connecting the Modem to the
USB port, run the Setup Wizard on the CD-ROM and
select Install USB Driver. The necessary driver
software will be installed on your computer.
To launch the Setup Wizard, insert the Setup Wizard CD in to
your CD-ROM drive and the Setup Wizard will begin. Follow the
on-screen prompts to complete the process. For further details
on the Setup Wizard, please refer to the Quick Installation Guide.
1. Connect one end of the provided phone cable to the DSL (RJ-11 phone) port that is on the back of your
Modem. Connect the other end of the phone cable to the wall jack with DSL service.
2. Connect the power adapter to your Modem and to the electrical outlet.
3. Turn the Power Switch on the back of the Modem to the ON position. The Power LED on the front of the
Modem should light up and remain lit.
4. Connect the square end of the included USB cable to the USB port on the back panel of the Modem.
5. Connect the rectangular end of the USB cable to your PC's USB port.

NOTE: You should always plug the Modem's power
adapter into a power strip with surge protection.
