Intended Utilization
This unit is classified as a category 1 laser unit. The corre-
sponding tag may be found on the outside surface of the unit.
Laser rays may cause damage to eyes.
Please pay caution to the following:
Do not open the unit under any circumstances. Do not
attempt to disassemble the unit.
To avoid endangerment: Maintenance should be performed
by the manufacturer or their customer service only.
Remove the DVD before transporting the unit to avoid da-
mages.
Do not move the unit during operation.
Select a safe location to ensure safe operation of the unit.
Please pay caution to the following:
Protect the unit from the effects of the weather. Do not use
the unit outdoors.
Protect the unit from moisture.
Do not place any container filled with liquid substances i.e.
vases, on top of the unit.
Never place the unit on top of or in the close vicinity of heat-
ing sources such as i.e. heaters, ovens, etc.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
When placing the unit ensure the location provides ade-
quate ventilation to avoid heat accumulation inside of the
unit. Ensure that ventilation slots are not blocked.
Protect the unit from mechanical percussions.
Always place the unit on a sturdy flat surface.
Protect the remote control against environmental forces,
moisture and extreme temperatures (i.e. direct sun light).
The unit is able to display a freeze frame on a television
screen/monitor for an indefinite time period. This may cause
damage to the screen. Please activate the screen saver
page 57 "System setting".
Do not adjust the volume in the event a low volume seg-
ment is rendered. This may cause damage to the speaker if
suddenly followed by a high volume rendition of a following
segment.
Do not move the unit with a DVD inserted. The DVD may
be damaged.
Do not reach with your hand into the DVD compartment,
risk of injury.
To avoid damage to the unit place only CD's or DVD's into
the designated slot.
Disconnect the network plug during a thunderstorm.
This DVD player is only intended for the following use:
Video DVD/Video CD playback.
Audio CD/Data CD playback.
DVB-T/radio reception.
No other use is intended and is prohibited.
