DELTANET R7515A/B, RP7515A/B, R7516B MICROCEL
Install damper actuator with output hub over
damper shaft.
Tighten 1/8-in. Allen setscrews (Fig. 5) firmly onto
damper shaft.
Secure MicroCel case to damper housing by screwing
four No. 10 thread-forming, not thread-cutting (e.g.,
TEK) , screws (obtained locally) through key holes
inside case.
NOTE: Actuator is mounted to MicroCel on a bracket
and does not need to be secured to damper
housing itself. Two spring clips allow
actuator to compensate for small damper
angle irregularities.
For 90-degree-travel damper, no further adjustment
is required.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to light-duty dampers, select
proper range stop: 45 or 60 degrees, cw or ccw.
If damper opening angle is less than 90 degrees, install
201614 Range Stop Pin. For cw- or ccw-opening
dampers, insert Pin into required slot (45 degrees or 60
degrees) in ccw Range Stop Pin area. For cw-opening
damper, Pin stops damper in closed position. For ccw
opening damper, Pin stops damper in open position.
NOTE: Pin snaps into final position after passing
through both plates of actuator housing. Pin
cannot be inserted until output hub has
travelled past the required slot. Pin fits tightly
and may require tapping with end of
screwdriver to fully seat (Fig. 8A). To remove
Pin, pry loose with screwdriver (Fig. 8B).
Replace MicroCel cover after wiring and piping.

Airflow Pickup (Where Used)

Connect the airflow pickup to the two 1/4-in. (6-mm) barb
connectors on the MicroCel case (location shown in Fig. 2, 3,
or 4). Connect the high-pressure or upstream tube to the
plastic restrictor barb labeled HIGH and the low pressure or
downstream tube to the plastic restrictor barb labeled LOW.
When twin tubing is used from the pickup, split the tubing a
short length to accommodate the connections.
CAUTION
If tubing needs to be removed from a barb connector
for any reason, carefully slit the tubing to remove it.
Do not pull the tubing off the barb or the restrictor/filter
could be broken.
NOTE: Keep tubing between airflow pickup and MicroCel as
short as possible to avoid degrading flow-sensing
accuracy. Recommended nominal distance is 3 ft
(0.9m).

Pneumatic Transducers (Where Used)

RP7515 MicroCels have one or two pneumatic transducers
whose locations are indicated by PNEU "A" and PNEU "B" on
the terminal label (Fig. 15). Make connections to the
transducers as shown in Figure 9.
Verify that MicroCel is mounted in vertical position with
transducers oriented toward bottom of case and below
MicroCel PC boards. (This position prevents possible
damage from main air condensation.)
Make connections using AK3070 or AK3074 tubing
as follows:
a. For main air (25 psi [172 kPa] maximum): For two
pneumatic transducers, connect the main air to
both input filters using a CCT1612B 1/4 x 1/4 x
1/4 in. (6 x 6 x 6 mm) tee. If only one pneumatic
transducer is furnished, connect the tubing
directly to the 1/4-in. (6-mm) connector on
the filter.
NOTE: Observe the caution in Fig. 9.
b. For branch air: Connect the branchline tubing
directly to the 5/32-in. (4-mm) barb connectors
on the capacity relays of the respective
pneumatic transducers.
