This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having
jurisdiction. If the information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion,
or production of carbon monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury, or
loss of life. The qualified service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit.
The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is
checked as specified in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these
diagrams or failure to use only parts specifically approved with this
appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion, the gas supply must be
shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power.
1. Remove the door, panels and media from the appliance. Refer to the
FINISHING section of your installation manual for instructions.
LOG VERSION:
2. Remove the 2 screws that secure the grate in place. Lift the grate up and
out. Remove the 4 screws securing the burner pan in place.
GLASS VERSION:
2b. Remove the 4 screws that secure the media tray in place. Lift the tray up
and out. Lift the burner support up and out. Remove the 4 screws holding
the burner pan in place.

3. If the appliance is not installed and finished, remove the 2 screws
securing the access panel from the outside of the appliance. If the appliance
is installed and finished, remove the 8 screws that secure the access plate
to the firebox. NOTE: A new gasket may be required when re-installing
the access plate. Contact your local authorized dealer / distributor.
4. Using a deep socket wrench, remove the orifice. A back-up wrench
(not shown) must be used on the manifold to ensure that the tubing does
not twist or kink. Using pipe thread compound, replace with the orifice
supplied.
5. Adjust the air shutter using the outside air shutter adjustment lever (see
Venturi Adjustment table on next page for details).
6. To convert the main valve to the desired fuel, follow the leaflet for the
SIT step motor assembly that is included with this kit.
