rinsing/blindplug, art. no. BS300-1/2A.
Other functions of the control keys
• Press and hold ON/INFO and Hardness control keys at the
same time for 3 s
- Information about total litres is reset to 0
• Press and hold Wasserhärte/Hardness and Kartusche/
Cartridge control keys at the same time for 3 s
- Information about cartridge changes is confirmed
• Press and hold ON/INFO and Kartusche/Cartridge control
keys at the same time for 3 s
- Valve ON/OFF

10. Maintenance

Maintenance, service and repair work may be carried
out only by authorised technicians.
We recommend taking out a servicing contract with an
installation firm
In accordance with DIN EN 1717 a regular maintenance must
be taken.
Frequency: every 1-3 years (depending on local opera-
ting conditions)
To be carried out by an installation company
10.1.Replacing batteries
The batteries have a service life of around 5 years
1. Take electronics module out of refilling unit
2. Replace batteries (alkaline AA 1.5V)
3. Reattach electronics module
10.2.Replacing softening or demineralisation cart-
ridge
When the fill volume of the heating system exceeds the stated
capacity, the cartridge must be replaced.

12. Troubleshooting

For softening:
For safety reasons, the softening cartridge must be
replaced 12 months after it is first used at the latest
For complete demineralisation:
For safety reasons, the complete demineralisation cart-
ridge must be replaced 12 months after it is first used at
the latest
1. Open bleeder valve and relieve pressure in system
• Place bucket under system
2. Unscrew cartridge from refilling unit
3. Screw in new cartridge until finger-tight
4. Press Wasserhärte/Hardness and Kartusche/Cartridge
control keys at the same time for 3 s
• Information about cartridge changes is confirmed
If the new cartridge differs from the old one, e.g. diffe-
rent sizes (L/XL), the new cartridge must be selected
and confirmed by selecting it with the Kartusche/Cart-
ridge button.

11. Disposal

• Dezincification-resistant brass housing
• Mechanical components of the heater water treatment unit
made of high-quality plastic
• EPDM sealing washers
• Polypropylene cartridge
Observe the local requirements regarding correct waste
recycling/disposal!
Batteries and electronics module must be collected
separately and disposed of in accordance with local
requirements.
