Please note:
·
Please ensure that the infrared sensor of the device
is not exposed to any direct source of light.
·
There should be no objects placed between the
remote control and the infrared sensor as this would
detract from the function of the remote control.
·
Do not use the remote control of another device
at the same time as the remote control of the DVD
player.

Operation

Note
·
The OSD screen menu of this device is preset to the
GERMAN language - see also the section on "Basic
Settings".
·
Most functions are controlled using the remote
control; some functions can be activated both on the
remote control and using the buttons on the front
panel of the device.

Preparation

·
After you have connected and checked all the con-
nections, switch on your television set and activate
the corresponding AV input.
·
If you have connected the DVD player to your hi-fi
system you must also switch this on.

PLAY

1. Insert the mains plug of your DVD player
(AC230V~50Hz).
2. Press the power switch (POWER) to switch on the
device.
3. Open the disc draw by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE
button on the device or remote control.
4. Insert a disc into the drawer (8cm or 12cm) with the
label side facing upwards.
5. Close the disc drawer by pressing the (OPEN/ CLO-
SE) button.
6. The device now reads in the disc. The type and total
playing time of the inserted disc are shown a short
time afterwards in the VFD display. Press the play
button (PLAY
).
Note: In the case of DVDs playback is automatic.

STOP

In order to stop playback press the STOP button.
You can continue playback from this position using the
PLAY button (RESUME function). Pressing the STOP
button twice deletes the RESUME function; playback
starts from the beginning of the disc when the PLAY
button is pressed.
Note: The RESUME function works with DVDs which
show the playing time in the VFD display.
Title Skip (SKIP-/SKIP+)
Press the SKIP- button or the SKIP+ button during play-
back: A title (for DVDs) or a track (for CDs) is skipped in
a forward or reverse direction depending on which skip
button is pressed.

Fast Forward or Reverse (F.FWD/F.RWD)
The F.FWD/F.RWD buttons activate fast forward or
reverse. Press one of these buttons during playback. Re-
peated pressing of the same button increases the search
speed. There are a total of four search speeds available
which can be selected one after the other: x2, x4, x8
and x20. In order to return to normal playback, press the
PLAY button again.
Note: This function is not supported by various discs
(including MP3 discs).
Slow Motion (SLOWF/SLOWR)
Press the SLOWF/SLOWR buttons in order to start
playback in slow motion in a forward or reverse direction.
Repeated pressing of the same button changes the slow
motion speed. There are four slow motion speeds avai-
lable: 1/2, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/7. In order to return to normal
playback press the PLAY
Note: This function is not supported by various discs
(including MP3 discs).
Pause/Single Picture (PAUSE/STEP)
If the pause button is pressed during normal playback,
the device switches to the still picture mode. Each
time the PAUSE/STEP button is pressed again the next
individual picture appears. You can also press the button
several times in order to look at the individual pictures
one after the other. In order to return to normal playback,
press the PLAY
button.
Note: This function is not supported by all discs.
Number Buttons (0-9 Buttons)
In order to select a certain track during playback you can
enter the track number using the number buttons 0-9
and confi rming with the OK button.
MUTE Button
Press the MUTE button in order to switch off the sound
(no audio output signal). Press it once more to listen to
the sound again.
Volume (VOL+/VOL-)
You can change the volume of the audio output signal by
pressing the volume buttons VOL+/VOL-.
Note: The volume buttons do not affect the digital
audio output. The factory setting for the volume is set to
maximum.

DISPLAY

Press the DISPLAY button once or twice during playback
to show relevant information such as the playing time,
total playing time, chapter number, playback status) in
the OSD.
Z00M
The ZOOM function can be activated during playback
and in the pause mode. You can select from three zoom
levels (x1, x2, x3) by pressing the ZOOM button.
