NOTICE OF MAC ADDRESS CHANGE TO CUSTOM-
ERS
When the MB-1610 board or WLAN/BT combo card is replaced,
the MAC address has been changed.
Print the following explanations, and pass it to the customer with
the repaired unit when returning the customer repaired unit.
Note of the MAC address change:
The MAC address of this unit was changed along with this repair.
Please set it again if you are using the MAC address fi ltering function
of access point device of connection destination.
MAC address can be confi rmed from the settings menu screen of this
unit. Please refer to the "Using the Various Functions/Settings" of Op-
erating Instructions for details.
WIRELESS CONNECTION (LINK) WORK OF BAR SPEAK-
ER AND SUBWOOFER
When the following parts are replaced, the wireless connection
(LINK) of the bar speaker and subwoofer will be disconnected.
Before returning repaired products to the customer, follow the pro-
cedure below to LINK the bar speaker and subwoofer.
If only the bar speaker or subwoofer is brought in for repair, wire-
less connection (LINK) is not possible. Refer to "What to do if
only bar speaker or subwoofer are brought in for repair".
Replacing parts for repairing that required wireless con-
nection (LINK)
Replacing the MB-1610 board of bar speaker
Replacing the SW-MAIN board of subwoofer
Wireless connection (LINK) method
When the repairing unit is not secure link:
After replacing the MB-1610 board of the bar speaker or replacing
the SW-MAIN board of the subwoofer, when turn the power on, it
will automatically wireless connection.
When the repairing unit was secure link:
After replacing the MB-1610 board of the bar speaker or replacing
the SW-MAIN board of the subwoofer, even if turn the power on,
if you do not automatically wireless connection, there is a possibil-
ity that the repairing unit was secure link.
In this case, perform the secure link according to "Secure link
method" below.
Also, press and hold the [SECURE LINK] button on the subwoofer
to cancel the secure link, it can automatically wireless connection.
Secure link method
Procedure:
1. Connect bar speaker with TV monitor.
2. Touch the [
] button on the bar speaker to turn the power on,

and press the [
] button on the subwoofer to turn the power on
1
3. Press the [HOME] button on the remote commander, and the
home menu is displayed.
4. Press the [V]/[v] buttons on the remote commander to select
the "
Setup", and press the [ ] button on the remote com-
mander.
5. Press the [V]/[v] buttons on the remote commander to select
the "System settings", and press the [ ] button on the remote
commander.
6. Select "Wireless Subwoofer Connection", and press the [ ]
button on the remote commander.
7. Press the [V]/[v] buttons on the remote commander to select
the "Secure Link", and press the [ ] button on the remote
commander.
8. Press the [V]/[v] buttons on the remote commander to select
the "On", and press the [ ] button on the remote commander.
9. Press the [B]/[b] buttons on the remote commander to select
the "Start", and press the [ ] button on the remote commander.
10. Press the [SECURE LINK] button on the subwoofer.
11. The message "Finish" is displayed on the TV monitor, the
power indicator of the subwoofer is lit in orange and secure
link is completed.
What to do if only bar speaker or subwoofer are brought
in for repair
If only the bar speaker or subwoofer is brought in for repair situa-
tion, and the above parts are replaced, by customer must wireless
connection (LINK) the bar speaker and subwoofer.
If only the bar speaker is brought in for repair and re-
paired (If customer have the subwoofer at hand)
After replacing the part of the bar speaker, touch the two but-
tons of the [–] and [
] on the bar speaker simultaneously for

fi ve seconds. Since the bar speaker is reset, it will automatical-
ly wireless connection with the subwoofer when the customer
turn the power on.
Note: When customer perform the secure link, the customer must operat-
ing to the secure link. Please inform customer that the secure link
method is written in the operating instructions.
If only the subwoofer is brought in for repair and re-
paired (If customer have the bar speaker at hand)
After replacing parts of the subwoofer, press and hold the [SE-
CURE LINK] button on the subwoofer. When the subwoofer
was secure link, the secure link is canceled, it will automati-
cally wireless connection with the bar speaker when the cus-
tomer turn the power on.
When customer performed the secure link, the customer must
operating to reset the bar speaker. Please inform the customer,
that customer touch the two buttons of the [–] and [
bar speaker simultaneously for fi ve seconds to perform the re-
set.
Note: When customer perform the secure link, the customer must operat-
ing to the secure link. Please inform customer that the secure link
method is written in the operating instructions.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE NFC AND TOUCH BOARDS
FOR REPAIRING
When the NFC and TOUCH boards are defective, replace the com-
plete mounted board.
The mounted parts cannot be replaced with single for repairing.
Also, after replacing the NFC board please refer to "NFC CON-
NECTION CHECKING METHOD" on page 6.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE MB-1610 BOARD FOR
REPAIRING
When the MB-1610 board is defective, replace the complete
mounted board.
The mounted parts cannot be replaced with single for repairing.
The block diagram and printed wiring board described in this ser-
vice manual are for reference.
Also, after replacing the MB-1610 board please refer to "NOTE
OF REPLACING THE MB-1610 BOARD OR WLAN/BT COM-
BO CARD" on page 4.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE ELECTRICAL PARTS ON
EACH BOARDS FOR REPAIRING
Among mounted electrical parts on each boards, only parts that
are described in the electrical parts list can be replaced for repair.
The parts that are not described in the electrical parts list cannot be
replaced with single for repairing.
