To operate, the BT 6.190 requires not only the power supply to X1 but
also communication connection X2 (RS 232 c; connection to X1 of the
weld timer).
Positions of the individual connections:
X1: power supply input
X2: communication with the weld timer (RS 232 c).
For communication with a PC (download of BT firmware) if
bootstrap mode is active
X3: not assigned
PE: threaded bolt for connection to PE conductor
S1: flush key for activating bootstrap mode
The control terminal may be connected and disconnected when the ti-
mer is switched on.
Communication with the control is usually established automatically
when the X2 is attached if the BT 6.190 power supply (X1) was interrup-
ted earlier.
If the BT 6.190 power supply (X1) was not interrupted earlier, the BT
6.190 reports that the connection to the weld timer can not be establis-
hed. In this case, simply press key

If an unsuitable control is connected, the device reports "Incorrect
SST type!", including the connected control type, when the con-
nection is established.
