1.0 SV8100 System Programming for VM8000 InMail

The basic VM8000 InMail functions can be programmed automatically using PC-Pro or manually using telephone
programming, Web Pro or PC-Pro. This guide will proved the steps to do both with the emphasis on basic feature
programming.
This document shows the programming required to get a VM8000 InMail to work. The instructions are based on
the following system:
SV8100 system licensed for 8 ports of VM8000 InMail
CD-CP00-US with PZ-VM21 and VM8000 InMail CF in slot 1
CD-8DLCA in slot 2
CD-8LCA in slot 3
CD-8COT in slot 4
PRG 10-12-01 is the default IP Address 192.168.0.10
Support PC has IP Address of 192.168.0.11
SV8100 and support PC are both connected to the same network
Note: On a defaulted system the following VM8000 InMail settings are enabled:
Mailboxes 1-64 are enabled with extension numbers 101-164.
Call Routing box 001 is set to be the main greeting
Auto attendant callers can dial:
1XX and 3XXX extensions
o
0 for extension 101
o
# + "extension number" to log into mailbox
o
* + "extension number" to go to selected mailbox greeting
o
In 47-08-01 Call Routing boxes 1-32 have Dial Action Table 1 assigned to them.

1.1 Program the VM8000 InMail Automatically Using PC-Pro

1. Start PC-Pro.
2. When prompted the user name = tech and the password = 12345678.
3. From the menu bar choose Communications/Connect or press F5.
4. Make sure the LAN option is enabled.
5. Make sure the IP address is 192.168.0.10.
6. Enter user name = tech and password = 12345678.
7. Choose connect.
8. Once connected download the database by choosing Communications/Download from the menu bar or
press F6.
9. Once download completes save database with descriptive name.
10. Go to Standard View by pressing F9.
11. Got to System Installation and under Voice Mail there will be a box next to InMail.
12. Check the box and when prompted choose yes to enable the InMail. PC-Pro will automatically program
the values below. These values can be changed later if needed:
a. 11-07-01; Group 64 = 3999
b. 15-03-03; extensions 3498-3505 are all set to Special (1)
c. 16-01-01 = Voice Mail
d. 16-01-04 = Circular (1)
e. 16-02-01; extensions 3498-3505 are all in group 64
f.
45-01-01 = 64
g. 47-01-17 = 57-64*
13. In 15-03-01 set extensions 157-164 to 0 (DP).
14. In 15-03-03 set extensions 157-164 to 1 (Special.)
15. Save database.
16. Upload database by choosing Communications/Upload from the menu bar or press F7. Note you do not
need to include blade configuration.
