  • Page 8 Cisco.com Cisco Network Assistant Cisco Network Assistant is a software program that you download from Cisco.com and run on your PC or laptop. It offers advanced options for configuring and monitoring multiple devices, including switches, switch clusters, switch stacks, routers, and access points. Network Assistant is free—there is no charge to download, install, or use it.

    Connecting the StackPower Cables (Optional) Always use a Cisco-approved StackPower cable to connect the switches. The Catalyst 3850 ports accept either the yellow or the green end of the StackPower cable. Note Align the connector and connect the StackPower cable to the S-PWR port on the switch rear panel and finger-tighten the screw.
