FAQ: UDA2182 Analyzer how to replace the bezel
assembly or the display cable?
Background
The display does not show any text or the display cable has been damaged, how can these faults be
fixed?
Damage has been caused to the display cable when opening and closing the door or the display has
failed due to a component failure.
Answer
Please carefully follow the procedure below and observe all warning or safety messages, if you
have any doubt then do not continue and contact Honeywell for assistance

Equipment Needed
Small flat-bladed screwdriver
Small Phillips head screwdriver

WARNING
While the unit is powered, a potentially lethal shock hazard
exists inside the case. Do not open the case while the unit is
powered.
When working with Printed Wiring Boards, you must use a
grounded wrist strap.

Open the display board connector latch as shown below and remove Display Cable from display board. Also, slip the display cable out from under the plastic clip on the inside left of the case.

- Page 5 Insert the other end of the replacement display cable (foils should be facing toward the display board) into the display board connector and close latch. Replace any boards removed in step 4. Slide the retainer to the left then slide the terminal board back into place. Slide retainer to engage the tabs and tighten the screws.
