THROTTLE OPERATION

Refer to the safety Precautions on page 40.
1. Check for smooth rotation of the
throttle grip from the fully open to the
fully closed position at both full steering
positions.
2. Measure the throttle grip freeplay at the
throttle grip flange.
The standard free play should be:
2-6 mm (0.08-0.24 in)
To adjust the freeplay, loosen the lock nut
(1) and turn the adjuster (2).

AIR CLEANER

Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 40.
The air cleaner element should be replaced
at regular intervals (page 42). Replace
more frequently when riding in unusually
wet or dusty areas.
1. Remove the screw and left side cover
from the grommets.
2. Remove the screws (1) 4 nos.
3. Remove the air cleaner cover (2).
4. Take out the air cleaner element (3) and
replace.
