Protection Circuit – PS Oscillator Stop 1 (Thermal)
Concept
Refer to Figure 1-9. The power supply oscillator within DC-DC Converter IC901 starts when voltage is applied to
pin 12. This 36kHz oscillator can be stopped for amplifier protection if the voltage at pins 1 or 16 rises to 1.2Vdc.
The protection circuits external to IC901 keep this voltage latched high (oscillator = OFF) when the circuit is
tripped.
