5.2 TEST AND ALIGNMENT

5.2.1

TEST EQUIPMENT

The following test equipment or equivalent is required to properly align and test the
KX 165A. All test equipment must be calibrated before attempting alignment.
A.
Power Supply:
Sorenson SRL 40-6 (27.5V @ 8 amps) or equivalent
B.
RF Signal Generator:
HP8656B or NAV 2000
C.
Audio Signal Generator:
HP 200CD Wide Range Oscillator or equivalent
D.
Digital Multimeter:
Fluke 8000A or equivalent
E.
RF Wattmeter:
Bird Model 611 or equivalent

1. All RF voltages are in dBm which implies NO
6 dB attenuator is used between the unit under
test and the RF signal generator.
2. A standard modulator test signal is a
.2VRMS, 1KHz tone, circuit with the network
