7.3.3. Check valve
If necessary, the outlet check valve can be replaced.
1. Close shutoff valve upstream the valve
2. Slightly open test plug to release pressure
3. Remove threaded adapter
4. Remove and exchange check valve
5. Install threaded adapter
6. Open shutoff valve upstream the valve
7. Test function (see chapter inspection)
7.3.4. Pressure reducing valve
1. Close shutoff valve upstream the valve
2. Slightly open test plug to release pressure
3. Slacken tension in compression spring
• Turn adjustment handle counter clockwise (-) until it
does not move any more
There is a spring in the spring bonnet. It may cause inju-
ries if the spring is derailing.
• Make sure tension in compression spring is slak-
kened!
4. Unscrew spring bonnet
• Use spanner
5. Remove slip ring
6. Remove valve insert with a pair of pliers
7. Remove filter and clean
8. Check that sealing ring, edge of nozzle and ’o’-ring are in
good condition, and if necessary replace the entire valve
insert
9. Reassemble in reverse order
10. Set outlet pressure

• High-quality synthetic material pressure reducing valve
insert
• High-grade synthetic material check valve
• Sealing elements made of elastomer materials suitable for
drinking water

Deposits on valve seat
Damaged ’o’ring
Leaky discharge valve
Strainer inlet or middle chamber is contaminatedClean or replace strainer
Shut-off valve on inlet is only opened partially Open shut-off valve
Pressure reducing valve is not set to the desired
outlet pressure
Strainer inlet chamber is contaminated
Strainer inlet chamber is contaminated or worn Clean or replace strainer
Valve insert, sealing ring or edge of nozzle is
contaminated or worn
Rising pressure on outlet (e.g. in boiler)
Diaphragm in valve insert is faulty

Observe the local requirements regarding correct waste
recycling/disposal!
Remedy
