Adjusting spindle guide

Applicability
VLE 2130 EL, VLE 2140 EL
The spindle guide must be adjusted after setting the
overtravel.
1. Tighten the hose clamp (Fig. 15, Pos. 1) at the
spindle guide (Fig. 15, Pos. 2).

Continue tightening the hose clamp until the spindle
attains a moment of resistance of 22 Nm. Check this
with a torque wrench at the end of the spindle.
2. Perform one lifting operation.
3. Check and if necessary correct the setting.

The ribbed belt should be checked every six months
and if necessary adjusted as follows:
1. Detach the cover.
2. Cause the ribbed belt to oscillate by tapping or
plucking.

3. Use a vibration meter to measure the frequency of
the oscillations (in hertz).

If the ribbed belt tension is correct the frequency
will be 220–240 Hz.
4. Re-tension if necessary with the tensioning bolt
(between the motor and column).

5. Check the tension again after several lifting and
lowering operations.
