Data formats

The data to be transmitted can be formatted in four different
ways:
− Type BYTE
Value range 0...255
− Type CHAR
Value range −128...+127
− Type WORD
Value range 0...65535
− Type FLOAT
Value range
±1.175494E−38..±3.402823E+38
BYTE
The BYTE format is used for the selection of parameters from
the tables in the "Parameter" section.
CHAR
The CHAR format is used when ASCII characters are
transmitted. Hex-codes must be used.
WORD
The WORD format consists of 2 bytes and is used when
integers are to be transmitted without preceding signs (integer
values). During transmission, high bytes precede low bytes.
