RSTP Configuration Example

1. Configure port and VLAN membership on the switch.
2. Set the Spanning Tree mode to Rapid Spanning Tree.
3. Configure RSTP parameters.
4. Configure port parameters:

RS G8264(config)# spanning-tree stp 1 bridge maximum-age 30
RS G8264(config)# no spanning-tree stp 1 enable
RS G8264(config)# interface port 3
RS G8264(config-if)# spanning-tree stp 1 priority 240
RS G8264(config-if)# spanning-tree stp 1 path-cost 500
RS G8264(config-if)# no spanning-tree stp 1 enable
