5.2 Connection Pattern for MEWNET-F

There are following 6 types (A to F) of patterns for connecting the master station (master unit) and slave
stations (such as slave units and FP I/O terminal).For the FP2 Multi-wire Link Unit, only the connection
patterns A and B are available.
Note:
- Do not perform the connections other than the following 6 types.
- Do not perform star-burst connection.
- In the diagram below, each station is described as follows.

5.2.1 Connection Pattern A

1 transmission line (using port I only), 1 path
- The terminal station is the master unit (port 1) and the slave station at the end.
- The connection using the port II only is not possible.

5.2.2 Connection Pattern B

1 transmission line (using port I only), 2 paths
- The terminal stations are the slave stations at the both ends of each paths.
- The connection using the port II only is not possible.

5.2.3 Connection Pattern C

2 transmission lines (using port I and port II), 1 path each
- The terminal station is the master unit (ports I and II) and the slave station at the end of each
transmission line.
