SCSI Interface Connection

DIP Switch Settings
Connect the printer to a SCSI interface-equipped computer or peripheral device.
Notes
• SCSI cable connectors should be inserted firmly as far as they will go.
• A SCSI cable connected to a single host computer should be no longer than 6
meters.
• When connecting the printer to a single host computer, the SCSI cable should be
no longer than 1 meter.
• When the printer is connected as the terminal device on a SCSI bus, turn on the
printer terminator switch. Refer to "Terminator ON/OFF Setting" (page 19) for
details.
• When the printer terminator switch is turned on, do not connect any other
terminator to the SCSI.
• The proper SCSI cable to use depends on the computer and peripheral devices.
Refer to the machines' manuals for details.
When connecting the printer to a SCSI interface, the DIP switches on the rear panel
set the SCSI ID and Terminator ON/OFF.
