Connection and recognition of the expansion unit

Follow the instructions and screenshots in this section to Use Navigator 2 to
perform the connection and recognition of the expansion unit. When the
procedure is complete, the expansion unit becomes part of the array to
which it is connected.
1. Check the items in the following checklist before connecting and
recognizing the expansion unit.

Ensure that two ENC units are installed.
Ensure that two power supplies are installed.
Ensure that the Warning LED on the front of the base
unit has turned off.
If the ENC firmware is being downloaded, check
that the Warning LED on the front of the base
unit turns off within 30 to 50 minutes and the
Ready LED is ON.
Ensure that the Ready LED on the front of the
base unit is ON. If the READY LED on the front of
the base unit continues blinking and does not go
ON, contact Hitachi Data Systems Technical
Support.
