Clean the platen glass and the underside of the feeder/platen cover
with a cloth dampened with water, and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
CAUTION
Do not dampen the cloth too much, as this may damage the original or break the
machine.

If originals that have been fed through the feeder have streaks or appear dirty, clean the
feeder's rollers.
CAUTION
Do not dampen the cloth too much, as this may damage the original or break the machine.
IMPORTANT
• This procedure is necessary only if the optional Color Image Reader-F1 is attached.
• Spin the rollers while cleaning them.
