2.3. LASER SYSTEM INSTALLATION

Install the laser system near the production line, in a dry, clean place and affix the warning sticker
supplied by HITACHI in the work area.
Install the laser tube on the product line. Place the laser focal lens completely perpendicular to the
surface being marked. Check the position of the focal length and head (0º or 90º) prior to installation.
It is important to know that the production line has been designed for support a laser system. For the
correct marking in a line production, assure that the laser system is completely perpendicular to the
surface being marked. For maintain the perpendicularity, use a support to hold the laser in the correct
position.
Adjust the distance from the end of the lens to the surface to be marked as specified in the specification
of the lens (190 mm is a typical value for a 100x100 lens).
