5 SETTINGS
The B90 supports the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. The B90 can be used as an IEC 60870-5-104 slave device connected to
a maximum of two masters (usually either an RTU or a SCADA master station). Since the B90 maintains two sets of IEC
60870-5-104 data change buffers, no more than two masters should actively communicate with the B90 at one time.
The
IEC ------- DEFAULT THRESHOLD
M_ME_NC_1 analog data. These settings group the B90 analog data into types: current, voltage, power, energy, and other.
Each setting represents the default threshold value for all M_ME_NC_1 analog points of that type. For example, to trigger
spontaneous responses from the B90 when any current values change by 15 A, the
ting should be set to 15. Note that these settings are the default values of the deadbands. P_ME_NC_1 (parameter of mea-
sured value, short floating point value) points can be used to change threshold values, from the default, for each individual
M_ME_NC_1 analog point. Whenever power is removed and re-applied to the B90, the default thresholds are in effect.
The B90 relay does not support power metering. As such, the
cable.
NOTE
The B90 relay does not support energy metering. As such, the
cable.
NOTE
The IEC 60870-5-104 and DNP protocols cannot be used simultaneously. When the IEC 60870-5-104 FUNCTION
setting is set to "Enabled", the DNP protocol does not operate. When this setting is changed, it takes effect when
power to the relay is cycled (off-to-on).

MESSAGE
The Modbus user map provides read-only access for up to 256 registers. To obtain a memory map value, enter the desired
address in the
line (converted from hex to decimal format). The corresponding value displays in the
ADDRESS
value of "0" in subsequent register
by "1". An address value of "0" in the initial register means "none" and values of "0" display for all registers. Different
values can be entered as required in any of the register positions.
