- Page 3 Datacap Electronic Payment Setup The following pages contain the setup steps for the Casio’s V-R series Android touch terminals to run electronic payment using the new Datacap hardware for both the Canadian and US markets. At the time of writing this manual Mercury Payments is the only processor running on the new Datacap hardware.
- Page 4 The V-R terminals need software version 4.4.2 (dated 10/13/2015) or greater loaded in order to interface to the new Datacap equipment with Mercury for electronic payment (including EMV). The V-R series software versions can be down loaded from Casio’s FTP site, please refer to the software upgrade instructions for terminals requiring at least version 4.4.2.

The Datacap setting screen options are as follows: Use Tip Format – Checking this box will print a Tip and Total lines below the Amount line for operations accepting tips on credit cards.
- Page 8 No Chit Under – If a business owner does not want to issue a merchant receipt under a certain dollar amount then enter the dollar amount in this field. Anything under the amount will not generate a merchant receipt requiring a signature.
