Using Child Restraints with
Tethers
Children riding in the automobiles
should be restrained to minimize the
risk of injury in the event of an
accident.
Your car has two tether anchor
points under the rear window at the
outer positions for securing a tether-
style child restraint system to the car.
On Australian model, there are three
tether anchor points.
Since a tether can provide additional
security, we recommend using a
tether whenever one is required or
available. (The owners may check
with the child restraint system
maker to determine whether a tether
is available for a particular child
restraint system.)
