from the normal operating position.

Installing the Steering Wheel

Parts needed for this procedure:

Procedure
Note: This procedure is only needed for Model No.
07299TC.
1. Release the tabs on the back of the steering wheel
that hold the center cover in place. Remove the cover
2. Remove the nut and washer from the steering shaft.
3. Slide the steering wheel and washer onto the shaft.
Position the steering wheel on the shaft so that the
cross beam is horizontal when the tires are pointed

4. Secure the steering wheel to the shaft with the nut
(Figure 3). Torque the nut to 18-22 ft-lb (24-29 N-m)
