I
NTRODUCTION
Your Caller ID phone stores and displays specific information,
provided by your local telephone company, to subscribers of Caller
ID or similar caller identification services. Your Caller ID phone
enables you to:
Identify callers before you answer the phone.
View the time and date of each incoming call.
Record up to 64 Caller ID messages sequentially.
Know who called while you were away.
To get the most from your new phone, we suggest that you take
a few minutes right now to read through this user's guide.
IMPORTANT : In order to use all the features of this unit, you must subscribe
to the standard Name/Number Caller ID Service.

You need an RJ11 type modular jack, which is the most
common type of phone jack and might look like the one
pictured here. If you don't have a modular jack, call your
local phone company to find out how to get one installed.

NSTALLATION
CAUTION: Disconnect the phone cord from the wall outlet before
installing or replacing the batteries.
I
MPORTANT
Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals, unless
the telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface.
Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.

NSTALLING THE
IMPORTANT: You will have approximately 90 seconds to replace the
batteries before the memories stored in the handset are lost. Please read the
instructions before replacing the batteries and have the batteries ready to be
inserted beforehand. As a precaution, you may want to write down any
stored information you do not want erased.
Your Caller ID phone uses 4 AA-size alkaline batteries for receiving and
storing Caller ID records and for the numbers you use for memory
dialing. Batteries not included.
1.If both the straight and coiled line cords are already connected,
disconnect them from the base unit. Place the handset off to the side.
2.Slide the battery doors in the direction of the arrows.
3.Insert 4 AA-size alkaline batteries as shown on the diagram in the
battery compartments. Two batteries will be inserted for each
compartment.
4.Replace the battery compartment doors securely.
5.If the cords were previously connected, re-attach the line cords to the
unit and check your memory locations.
IMPORTANT : Batteries must be installed for the Caller ID to operate.
If you're not going to use the telephone for more than 30 days, remove
the batteries because they can leak and damage the unit.

1.Plug the coiled cord into the handset, and plug the other end into the
jack on the left side of the base.
2.Plug the straight line cord into jack on the bottom of the base, and
plug the other end into a modular phone jack.
3.Set the RINGER switch on the base to the desired position.
= Sound will be loudest.
= Sound will be lower.
= Telephone will not ring.

ALL MOUNT
1.Plug the line cord into the jack on the bottom of the base, and plug
the other end to a modular phone jack.
2.Feed the line cord through the grooves provided on the bottom
of the base so that the base area is flat and ready to mount on the wall.
3.Slip the mounting holes of the base (on bottom of unit) over the wall

ETTING
P THE
ALLER
You should not plug the telephone into the modular jack while
setting up the Caller ID menu. An incoming call may invalidate your
selection if it
was not yet saved.
1. Press the options button. SET OR
appears in the display.
2.At this point you can press either REVIEW up or down button to
scroll among
the 5 menu screens, which are:
SET OR
CID LANGUAGE (default English)
SET TIME
T/P DIAL MODE (default tone)
SELECT CONTRAST (default 3)
3.You have 10 seconds following any key press before the phone
automatically return to the NO CALLS summary screen, or you
can press flash to exit during set up.

If you subscrible the caller ID service in SAUDI ARABIA, you must
make a setting before using:
1. Pick up the handset.
Press options button.
2.
3. Press 1,2,3,4,5,6 button.
4. Press STORE button.
5. Put down the handset into the cradle.
"SAUDI ARABIA" will display in the screen for 2s to indicate the
setting is sucessful.
Repeat item 1 to 5 to exit the "SAUDI ARABIA"option. "EXIT S.
ARABIA" will display in the screen for 2s to indicate SAUDI
ARABIA setting is exiting.
NOTE: 1-5 operation should be finished within 10s or the setting
will be invalid.

ETTING THE
ISPLAY
ANGUAGE
This adjustment changes the Caller ID messages to be displayed in
English, French or Spanish.
1.Press the options button. SET OR appears in the display.
2.Press the review up button until CID LANGUAGE appears in the
display.
3.Press the options button to show the current language setting.
The default is English.
4.Press review up or down to change the language.
5.Press options to store the language and return to the CID
LANGUAGE display.

ETTING THE TIME
In some area, the real time will not be updated by CID data. The
real time clock can be set manually in set up manual.

IALING
ODE
This adjustment allows you to select tone (touch-tone) or pulse
(rotary) dialing.
1.Press the options button until SET OR

3.Press the options button to show the current dial mode. The
default is set to tone.
4.To change the dialing mode, press review up or down. The display
will alternate between the two dialing modes.
5.Press the options button to store the dialing mode and return to
the T/P DIAL MODE display.

ETTING THE
ONTRAST
This adjustment allows you to adjust the contrast and viewing angle
of the display.
1.Press the options button, SET

appears in the display.
2.Press the
review up or down button until
SELECT CONTRAST
appears in the display.
3.Press the options button to show the current contrast setting.
There are 5 levels of contrast, with the default set to 3.
4.To decrease the contrast, press review down. To increase the
contrast, press review up.
5.Press the options button to store the contrast setting and return
to the SELECT CONTRAST display.

When the "SET

NOTE: The phone exits Setup after
15
seconds if no buttons are pressed.
REMINDER: The time and date are programmed automatically when the
first Caller ID record with date and time is successfully received after the
unit is setup.
