Thermal Protector Switch
If the Boiler tank boils dry the units thermal protector switch will activate to protect the heating
element. Allow to cool then reset as follows
Use a suitable tool to loosen and remove
the protective screw (A)
Use a suitable tool to press the button
inside to restore normal machine operation.
Trouble Shooting
Fault
Does not heat
Mixing paddle does

Tap leaks
Water escaping
from boiler
Probable Cause
No power
Switch set to OFF
Thermal Protector Switch has activated
Thermostat set to low
No power
Mixing rod not fitted correctly
Motor Fault
Switch set to OFF
Tap not fitted correctly
Build up of debris
Sealing Gasket needs replacing
Temperature too high
Tank filled above MAX indication line
Sealing gasket needs replacing
Action
Make sure the machine is plugged in
correctly
Set the switch to ON
Reset Thermal Protector Switch
Adjust the thermostat
Make sure the machine is plugged in
correctly
Ensure mixing rod is correctly fitted
Call Buffalo agent or qualified
technician
Set the switch to ON
Empty machine and fit tap as per
instructions
Empty machine and clean tap as per
instructions
Call Buffalo agent or qualified
technician
Adjust the thermostat
Allow machine to cool then empty
the tank and refill to correct level
Call Buffalo agent or qualified
technician
