Energy-Saving Tips
Location of your refrigerator is
important. Avoid locating it next to
your cooking appliance, a heating
vent or where the sun will shine
directly on it.
Be sure the doors are closed
tightly. Before leaving the house
or retiring for the night, check to
be sure the doors haven't been left
open accidentally.
Keep foods covered to reduce
moisture buildup inside the
refrigerator.
If you turn the controls to the
coldest position for quick chilling
or freezing, be sure to turn them
back to regular settings.

Water Supply to Icemaker

If your refrigerator has an
icemaker, or if you plan to add
an icemaker later, the icemaker
will have to be connected to a
cold drinking water line.
A water supply kit containing
copper tubing, shutoff valve,
fittings and instructions is
available at extra cost from your
dealer. There should be sufficient
tubing for the icemaker from the
cold water supply to allow moving
the refrigerator out from the wall
several feet (approximately 8 feet
[2.5m] of 1/4" [6.25mm] copper
tubing in three 10-inch [250mm]
diameter coils).
Maximum permissible inlet water
pressure—120 PSI (8.3 bars).
Minimum permissible inlet water
pressure—20 PSI (1.4 bars).
Installation of icemaker must be
made by a qualified service
technician.

Take-out Center
(on models so equipped)
The Take-out Center is a special
compartment with its own door
that becomes a counter when
you open it.
Take-out Center
Frequently used items stored on
the fresh food door are readily
accessible without having to open
the main refrigerator door.
The Take-out Counter provides an
extra work surface right at the
refrigerator.
Although durable, stain- and
scratch-resistant, the work surface
on the Take-out Counter should not
be used as a cutting board. Sharp
utensils can damage it.
Cold air entering from the freezer
compartment keeps the temperature
in the Take-out Center at proper
food-keeping levels.
To open the Take-out Center door,
lift the door handle and pull down.
Close the door after use.
The Take-out Center is also
accessible through a lift-up door on
the inside of the fresh food door.
Take-out Center Bin
This bin has a special lip that
overlaps the Take-out Center. It is
not interchangeable with the other
I
door bins. To remove it, open the
Take-out Center door to free the
lip.
Raise the inner door and lift the
bin straight up until the hooks on
the bin come out of the tracks on
the door.
When you replace it, make sure th=
Take-out Center door is open so
the lip is positioned properly.
