Improper connection after maintenance
Danger of explosion in areas subject to explosion hazard or device damage.
• Connect the device correctly after maintenance.
• Close the device after maintenance work.
See Chapter →Wiring (Page 39).
Note
Depending on the use of the device and certain empirical values, determine a maintenance
interval for the tests to be carried out repeatedly.
The maintenance interval is also influenced by the corrosion resistance of the materials coming
into contact with the sample gas, for example, depending on the respective location of use.
Note
The device must not be opened during operation. After switching off, a waiting time of 10
minutes must be observed so that energy-saving components are sufficiently discharged. Open
the device only for installation or maintenance.

Cleaning the device

Clean the device on the outside with a wet cloth and a solvent-free, commercial cleansing
detergent.

Removing a field control unit / field module

Removal sequence
The following applies if you need to remove the field control unit and/or field module, for
example, for repair purposes: First remove the field module before removing the field control
unit.
