Event data recorder
Your car is equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR). EDR records data on the
operating status of the vehicle system in the event of a constant or near‑collision
condition (such as SRS airbag activation and contact with road obstacles). EDR is
designed to record short‑term data on vehicle movements and safety systems.
EDR records the following data:
･ Operating status of each system of the vehicle
･ Accelerator pedal and brake pedal operation status ･
Vehicle speed
These data will help you understand the situation in which a collision or injury occurred.
Note: EDR records data in the event of a collision. Data is not recorded during normal
driving. In addition, personal information (eg name, gender, age, location of collision) will
