Hill‑start assist function (DS range idling stop)
When starting after the engine is stopped on a slope by the Stop & Start system, the vehicle
temporarily holds the brake oil pressure (brake effect) until the break pedal is released to
restart the engine and the driving force is generated. Prevents the engine from retreating
and makes it easier to start on a slope.
When the driving force is generated, the brake oil pressure (brake effect) that was held is
automatically released.

stopped intermittently due to traffic jams, etc.
