SEQ EDI T/ SETUP
This menu includes parameters and setting s related to
creatio n and play o f Step Sequencer patterns. Yo u can
create a Vo ice Pattern fo r each vo ice, as well as create
and sto re a to tal o f 1 2 8 User Patterns. Step Sequencer
setting s are sto red as vo ice data.
When the [ EDIT ROTARY] switch is set to the SEQ EDIT/ SETUP menu, the eight
CONTROL knobs are used to set event data for each of the 1 6 steps. For
information about using the Step Sequencer, see page 3 7 .

Kno b parameters are related to the 1 6 sequencer
steps. There are three parameters available, including
Event, 1 -8 / 9 -1 6 , and Step Ho ld.

The Event parameters let yo u desig nate the type o f
event data to input using the eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs.
Settings:
N o te (0 ~ 1 2 7 (C-2 ~G 8 )), Velo city (0 ~ 1 2 7 ),
G ate Time (1 ~ 2 0 0 %), Co ntro l Chang e (o ff, 1 ~ 9 5 , AT)
Control Change setting ( off, CC1 ~ 9 5 , After Touch) is determined by the Control
Number parameter in the same menu row ( see page 9 1 ) .

This parameter lets yo u desig nate which series o f steps
(1 -8 o r 9 -1 6 ) are available fo r data entry using the
eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs. Each kno b as po sitio ned o n
the panel (1 -8 ) relates to the co rrespo nding sequence
step (either 1 -8 o r 9 -1 6 , respectively), depending o n
this setting .
Pressing a knob for parameter confirmation or turning it for data input will display
its step number in the LCD, to the left of the value setting.

St e p Ho ld
The Step Ho ld parameter lets yo u turn the Step Ho ld
functio n o n and o ff. W hen Step Ho ld is set to " o n" , the
no te o f the currently selected step will play repeatedly,
based o n the T empo and Pattern Base Unit setting s.
This lets yo u adjust the vario us Event setting s in co ntext
with the speed and timing o f the sequence.
When Step Hold is set to " on" , you can select and check a step parameter by
pressing a knob's push-switch or turning it.
