12. Remove the ring nut.
Installation
1. Fit the grommet into fitting plate 1 and install
the parts as shown in the illustration.
Screw the remote control cable a minimum of
8mm (0.31in) into the cable joint. If there is insuf-
ficient freeplay in the cable to screw it in 8mm,
decrease the amount of the cable to screw it in on
the remote control box side. Be sure to tighten the
locknut for each cable joint.
WARNING
I f the cable is not screwed in at least 8mm, the
cable joint could break. T his could cause loss of
control and an accident.
Fit fitting plate 1 and 2 into the grooves around
the cable.

2. Pass the remote control cables through the
bottom cowling.
3. Install the remote control bracket onto the
bottom cowling, and tighten the nuts.
4. Secure fitting plate 1 onto the remote control
bracket with the bolts.
