Speedometer Tube Installation
Speedometer Tube Routing
The speedometer tube must be routed carefully to
avoid crimping or damage.
30HP and 40HP (Except 40T)
1. As illustrated, route the tube on the inside of
the swivel bracket.
2. Locate the sensor tube coming from the
lower unit, and cut off 3mm (0.12") from the
tip of the nipple to open it. Connect the
speedometer tube to the nipple and tighten
with the quick tie provided.
3. Route the tube to the speedometer and secure
it.
NOTE: Before securing the tube, be sure to tilt
the engine up and down to make sure the tube is
not stretched or pinched by other parts.
40T ~ 250HP
NOTE: The speedometer tube comes installed as
standard equipment, routed to the clamp bracket
area. Cut off about 3mm (0.12") from the end of
the nipple to open it, and connect it to the tube
coming from the speedometer. Be sure to secure
the tube with the quick tie provided.
